Tulane Sailing Completes Seventh Consecutive Clean Sweep at SEISA Fall Championships

Tulane sailing delivered another dominant performance at the SEISA Fall Championships in Corpus Christi, Texas, completing a clean sweep of both the open and women’s titles for the seventh consecutive year. The Green Wave continued their remarkable stranglehold on the conference regatta, leaving no doubt about their standing as the premier program in the region.

The Wave’s dominance was evident across both championship regattas. In the women’s fleet race championship, Tulane posted a final score of 14 through three rotations. The open championship was even more convincing, with the Green Wave cruising to victory on a final score of just 10 across four total rotations.

Paige Tillson and Brynn Behren set the pace in the women’s championship, racing together in the A Division. The pair finished first overall in the regatta with a final score of six, including two race victories. In the B Division, Merritt Sellers and Molly Bonham placed third with a final score of eight across their three races.

The open championship saw Charles Hackel and Sabrina Casagrande team up to win the A Division with a remarkable final score of just five, notching a trio of race wins along the way. Nico Anders and Maura McPartlin matched that effort in the B Division, also finishing with a score of five and three race victories to claim their division title.

Looking ahead, Tulane will send four sailors to the ICSA Singlehanded National Championships in Rye, New York, on November 7-8. Ava Anderson and Oakley Cunningham will represent the Green Wave in the women’s championship, while Hamilton Barclay and Tate Christopher will compete in the open championship. After seven straight years of SEISA dominance, all eyes will be on how the Wave performs on the national stage.
