Tulane Sailing Heads to Corpus Christi for SEISA Fall Championships

Tulane University sailing is set to compete at the SEISA Fall Championships this weekend in Corpus Christi, Texas. Hosted by Texas A&M – Corpus Christi, the championship regatta will take place at the Corpus Christi Yacht Club on the scenic waters of Corpus Christi Bay on Saturday and Sunday, October 31 through November 1.

The weekend program features two distinct events: the SEISA Fall Open Fleet Race Championship on Saturday and the SEISA Women’s Fall Fleet Race Championship on Sunday. Both days of racing are scheduled to begin at approximately 10 a.m.

For the open championship, Tulane will face three other programs on the water: Texas A&M, Texas A&M – Corpus Christi, and Rice. The open event is formatted with eight rotations across two divisions, promising a full day of competitive college sailing action.

The women’s championship on Sunday will see the Green Wave go up against Texas A&M and Texas A&M – Corpus Christi. That regatta will also feature two divisions, with six rotations on the schedule.

Tulane heads into the weekend with solid momentum after a busy fall campaign. The Green Wave recently landed third and fifth place finishes at weekend events and saw four sailors qualify for the 2026 Fall Sailing National Championships, underscoring the depth and talent within the program.

The Corpus Christi Yacht Club provides an excellent venue for championship-level racing, with Corpus Christi Bay offering consistent breeze and open water conditions that test tactical decision-making and boat handling alike.

Live results for both the open and women’s championships will be available online throughout the weekend, allowing fans to follow the Green Wave’s progress in real time. Tulane sailing continues to build on a tradition of competitive excellence, supported in part by a landmark $2.75 million gift to the program that has bolstered its resources and ambitions on the national stage.
