Weymouth Pavilion Set to Host Musto iQFOil Worlds Fan Zone on Finals Day

The iQFOil Worlds Fan Zone is heading to Weymouth Pavilion on Saturday 12 September, transforming the iconic venue into the ultimate spectator hub as the planet’s finest windsurfers battle it out on finals day of the Musto iQFOil World Championship.

Racing gets underway on Monday 7 September, with a full week of competition building towards Saturday’s showdown. The Fan Zone will deliver a packed programme of big-screen live racing coverage, athlete interviews, music, family activities, food, competitions and opportunities to get out on the water. Whether you are a dedicated sailing fan or a family searching for a great day out, there will be something for everyone.

The Musto Main Stage will be the centrepiece of the action, with host Lucy Mills and expert pundit Sandy Clunas guiding viewers through every gust and gybe. Expect special appearances from the British Sailing Team alongside a live DJ, competitions and activities running throughout the day.

With racing kicking off at midday, spectators can watch the men’s and women’s champions crowned before welcoming them ashore for the champions’ arrival and medal ceremony on the Musto Main Stage.

Beyond watching the action, visitors will have the chance to experience sailing for free through a range of taster sessions. Pre-bookable activities include opportunities in dinghies, keelboats, windsurfers and accessible trips aboard M.V. Freedom. Spaces are limited, so advance booking is recommended.

Defending World Champions Emma Wilson, current World number one and two-time Olympic medallist, and Andy Brown will spearhead the home nation efforts. Islay Watson will be targeting a podium finish in the women’s field, while Finn Hawkins, Duncan Monaghan, Sam Sills, Matt Barton and Will Ziegler all harbour hopes of a strong performance on the men’s side.

The Fan Zone offers far more than high-octane racing. Visitors can enjoy Marine CSI environmental sessions, face painting, knot-tying challenges, relaxed viewing areas and the Lewmar grinding rig. Those curious about the technology behind the iQFOiL can explore windsurfing equipment displays, pump foiling and eFoiling demonstrations, a windsurfing simulator, VR experiences and hands-on lessons in how foiling works.

Local food vendors, the Weymouth Pavilion bar and event partners including the RYA, MG, Musto, Andrew Simpson Centre, OTC Watersports, Rockley Watersports and the UK iQFOiL Class will help create a vibrant space to eat, relax, get active and discover more about sailing, windsurfing and foiling.
