Bowdoin College hosted its Mid-Week Invitational on Thursday September 25 in Harpswell, Maine, drawing nearby rivals Maine Maritime Academy and Bates College for a compact afternoon of 420 racing on Harpswell Sound. A puffy, windy afternoon delivered five races. With strong ebbing current across the starting line, the race committee opted to use the I-flag for every start to keep the fleet honest. Bowdoin thanked visiting squads Bates and Maine Maritime for making the trip and acknowledged Chris Dakers ’29 and Shea McGrath ’27 for committee-boat support, plus “Sharon” for mark-moving—nice texture on a classic Harpswell day.
