The Snipe class Trofeo Valnera delivered an exciting day of racing on Sunday, with the fleet contesting two new races in magnificent conditions on the racecourse. Twelve boats presented themselves before the race committee for the latest round of this competitive series.
Enrique García de Soto and his boat Chiqui IV were the clear dominators of the day, claiming victory in both races sailed. The double bullet cemented his authority over the fleet in what proved to be a commanding display.
In the first race of the day, Soto, sailed by Tomás Budiño, crossed the finish line in second place behind the winner. Third position went to Bardal, helmed by Manuel Sánchez-Valverde, completing the podium.
The second race saw a shuffle in the chasing pack, with Patín, skippered by Javier Gutiérrez García, taking the runner-up spot. Bardal once again showed consistent speed to round out the podium in third position for the second time on the day.
With 12 boats on the start line and competitive racing throughout the fleet, the Trofeo Valnera continues to showcase the depth of talent within the Snipe class. The series promises more close battles as the remaining rounds unfold.
