Seldén has unveiled the Furlex 104TD, a through-deck jib furling system engineered for keelboats and small yachts up to approximately 30 feet. The new addition expands the Swedish manufacturer’s popular Furlex range, extending its existing lineup of larger through-deck furling systems, the Furlex 204TD to 404TD, into the smaller boat market.
The Furlex 104TD features precision-machined components crafted from hard-anodised aluminium, reflecting the high-end build quality Seldén is known for. Developed in response to demand from builders of premium keelboats and smaller yachts, the system is designed for forestays measuring 5 mm or 6 mm in diameter.
Sail handling performance sits at the heart of the design. A free-turn tack attachment helps improve sail shape when reefing a jib or genoa, while roller bearings at both deck level and within the furling drum work to reduce furling resistance. For added versatility, an optional 60 mm forestay length adjustment is also available.
The Furlex 104TD carries a recommended retail price starting at €2,170 excluding VAT, with deliveries scheduled to commence in February 2027. Sailors and industry professionals can see the system firsthand at METS Trade in Amsterdam from November 17 to 19, where it will be on display at Seldén’s stand number 01-775.
