2026 Eastern Seaboard Regatta & ILCA District Championships Set for Pattaya

The 2026 Eastern Seaboard Regatta and ILCA District Championships will bring competitive ILCA dinghy racing to the shores of Pattaya, Thailand, later this year. Hosted at the Royal Varuna Yacht Club, the twin-event programme spans nearly two weeks of high-calibre sailing on the Gulf of Thailand.

The Eastern Seaboard Regatta runs from 28 October to 1 November 2026, followed by the ILCA District Championships from 6 to 8 November 2026. Sailors competing in both events should plan travel dates from 27 October through 9 November to allow adequate time for preparation and competition.

Both regattas will be contested in the ILCA 4 and ILCA 6 classes, offering racing opportunities for youth and senior sailors alike. The ILCA 4, with its smaller rig, is popular among younger and lighter competitors, while the ILCA 6 attracts a broad range of experienced sailors from across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

Royal Varuna Yacht Club, located on Phra Tamnak Road in the Bang Lamung District of Chon Buri province, is one of Southeast Asia’s most established sailing venues. The club’s position on the eastern seaboard of Thailand provides reliable thermal winds and warm waters, making it an ideal setting for championship-level dinghy racing.

Registrations for the event have now closed. Competitors and supporters can look forward to an exciting fortnight of ILCA racing in one of Thailand’s most popular coastal destinations.
