Bowdoin College sailing enjoyed an impressive weekend on the water, headlined by a commanding victory at the Barnett Trophy regatta hosted on home waters in Brunswick, Maine. The Polar Bears fielded multiple squads across four different venues, demonstrating the depth and ambition of their program.
At the 18-team Barnett Trophy, Bowdoin placed two teams inside the top five, with the top entry clinching the overall team title. The result underscored the squad’s consistency and strength across both divisions of fleet racing.
Beyond the Barnett Trophy, the Polar Bears also sent competitors to events at Boston College, Harvard, and MIT. Rebecca Schill delivered a standout individual performance at Boston College, finishing fourth in the Women’s Singlehanded competition against a competitive field.
The busy schedule continues for Bowdoin, with another packed weekend ahead featuring four events on the calendar. The Polar Bears will look to build on their momentum as the season progresses and championship racing draws closer.
